Once we did, he came over within 10 minutes. The landscapers told the owner that we took too long to come back after it happened, that we took 15 minutes to come back. MEANING that they heard the rock hit, right?! The insurance company is now calling us liars after we sent them the estimate we received- $700 to replace our windshield. We bought our 2012 Nissan BRAND NEW in 2012. We want our windshield fixed. What should we do? Is this fair?"

I think we are getting great rates now and dont think it will make much difference but he insists. (because apparently i decided not to the the brakedown cover that i had before!!!!) I called them and the woman there explained that they were never informed of not extending the policy and that of course they have it registered that i phoned on the 6th of may with questions but they called me and left a message on my voicemail and apparently i never rang them back. Once they got it they rang me saying that now they want the proof of selling/scrapping the car, WHY???I do not think it is any of their business. I had a car accident in my 2004 Honda under my dads insurance. Im 19 and I didnt get dropped from insurance. The accident had 3 claims of bodily injuries and a total loss car & I was at fault. I have been trying to cancel my policy for 3 months. I even tried to stop payment at my bank, but they keep getting around the stop payments by charging different amounts each month. (This month they decided to charge me $50 more than last month) When I call them, I am on hold for over 30 minutes before I finally just give up. While backing out of my driveway I bumped into the neighbor’s car, causing a small dent and some noticeable scraping to the paint. My neighbor offered to let me pay out of pocket instead of contacting my insurance company, with the idea that I wouldn’t have to worry about paying higher rates. My insurance (which is liability) is through Geico, and I just found out that since I haven’t had any tickets or accidents for over 10 years, I qualify for their Accident Forgiveness program. I was wondering if I should opt for using the program or if I should just pay the repair costs out of pocket (my neighbor came back with an estimate of almost $1000 to fix). I figure this sort of situation is why I pay every 6 months for insurance, and it sounds like the Accident Forgiveness program won’t hurt my record or raise my rates. BUT I want to consider all the possibilities first, and I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience with this or had any advice about whether it’s worth it in the long run to go the insurance route or not.
